Pastoral Care

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.  By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:34-35

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
Colossians 3:16

We want to be a church family who love and care for one another well. The Scriptures make plain that pastoral care is the responsibility of every Christian believer, bearing one another’s burdens.

Here at St.Botolph’s we encourage all regular church attenders to join a homegroup. This will be the principal place where this pastoral care is given and received.

We do recognise, however, that sometimes circumstances of life mean we need some extra help. Members of our Pastoral Care Team are available to walk with you through a particular problem, area of struggle, pain or suffering. When necessary, they may guide you to more specialized or professional help.
